To avoid delays we strongly recommend permits be applied for well in advance of the scheduled construction date. This includes full payment via Xpress-Pay.

Scott County Environmental Services is the permitting authority for individual septic systems in the City of Credit River.

• If you need to replace a septic system, please apply directly with Scott County. 
• If you are constructing a new home, a permit for the septic will need to be completed at Scott County at the same time the building permit is completed at Credit River.
• For many other types of building permits Scott County Environmental Services will be provided with the proposed building plans for review prior to permit issuance.
