Police
The City of Credit River is committed to providing high quality public safety to it's residents. To provide Law Enforcement services Credit River has a contracted partnership with the Scott County Sheriff's Office. This partnership began in January 2021 with one deputy providing 40 hours a week of dedicated service to Credit River. In 2023 we increased the contract to two deputies providing 80 hours a week of dedicated service to Credit River. Contracting with the Scott County Sheriff's Office provides a wider array of resources than if the city had its own police department. These resources also come at a much less cost than a city owned police department.
