The City of Credit River is committed to providing high quality public safety to it's residents. To provide fire, rescue, and EMS services Credit River has a contracted partnership with the City of Prior Lake and Spring Lake Township. 

The cities and township combined reach a service area of 74 square miles, and a population close to 40,000 residents.

In 2023 the Prior Lake Fire Department will transition from a paid-on-call model to a full-time Fire Department. This is necessary to better response times, provide safer environment, and enhance public education.
